Labor Coalition Endorses Kathleen Rice for Reelection
1199SEIU, Teamsters Local 282, IUOE Local 15, and PEF back Rice in NY-04
GARDEN CITY, NY – Congresswoman Kathleen Rice was endorsed today by four major labor unions representing thousands of workers on Long Island as she seeks reelection in New York’s fourth congressional district. The labor coalition endorsing Rice includes 1199SEIU, a powerful union of healthcare workers with more than 220,000 members in the greater New York City area and 9,500 members in Rice’s district; the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 282, which represents more than 1,200 members on Long Island; the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 15, which represents 1,000 members and their families in the district; and the New York State Public Employees Federation (PEF), which represents nearly 5,000 members on Long Island.
