Save Perkins Loans!
All of our young people deserve a quality, affordable education – but today’s students are running out of options.
The federal Perkins Loan program is a crucial lifeline for low-income students seeking higher education. More than 30 million people have gone to college with these low-interest student loans. But earlier this year, the U.S. Senate allowed the program to expire.
We must open more doors for students to get an education – not shut down successful programs that make it more affordable. If we don’t renew Perkins Loans, thousands of students may have no other option but to seek private loans with higher interest rates – or drop out of school altogether.
In Congress, I’m doing everything I can to make sure every American has a fair shot at success. I’m working to reduce student debt and make colleges and universities more affordable for everyone – and you can help. Sign the petition: Tell Congress to save Perkins Loans!
